Unraveling the thought process of the artist, what a tangled mess, but here I will share the frenzy I call inspiration.

A girl and her dog
I created this painting of our daughter and her dog at the lake several years ago and has become a treasured family heirloom for it captures the essence of that day. So many moments come and go as we move through life, but when I look at this painting that has hung in our home the last four years I remember all those sun filled days at the lake. Our kids were thrilled to get a boat and after brief instruction our kids soon took on the responsibility of driving, towing, and stowing the boat to insure we would go more frequently. Days filled with watching our daughter leisurely floating and swimming and our son working the boogie board swinging so wide it would make me cringe with fear he would crash into the shore. Steve and I were content to just relax in the sun with a cold drink as the kids would take turns at the helm sometimes cranking it hard to throw water on us. Its funny how it all comes back when I look at this painting.
