Unraveling the thought process of the artist, what a tangled mess, but here I will share the frenzy I call inspiration.

A Different Eye
So many things in this world demand our attention that sometimes we walk through life not truely seeing the little treats to the eye. We litterally have tunnel vision, the dishes need done so we do the dishes- end of story. But, have you noticed the rainbow in the bubble created at the top of the bottle of dishsoap. Children see these things and gain a simple joy that they share with all around. Children ask the beautiful questions that make us slow down and revel in Gods creation. Why do we live life on fast forward so we can rush home to watch a television program. What better time than when sending the dog out to the bathroom to breathe on the glass and draw a simple heart as we did when we were children. How many times have you taken out the trash on an icy morning to quicky return to the warmth of your kitchen without taking the time to study the ice crystals that formed on the blades of grass or pavement. Take time to smile, to appriecate, to share this gift we are given - the gift of now, it is the only one you will ever have. This wierd ablity to see things with a different eye is something artists have in common, it is not that we are great painters or sculptors - it is that we are great see-ers. This photo was taken when I stopped for a soda one afternoon and was delighted with the cartoon version of oversized cars reflected in the mirrored columns framing the store.
