" Its going to be a great day!"

Got lost in my painting yesterday and found myself again. The large canvas gave me room to play exploring color gradations, scrub, drip and use of the best tool of all my fingers moving the buttery paint around as figures emerged reflecting the support of friends as we walk this path. Painting with such abandon was a great experience that renewed my spirit that suffered a few blows in light of my husband’s current health concerns. With prayer and determination he is showing signs of improvement and refuses to give up or give in to the assumption that more is better. When doctors approached him with running a battery of tests, that were ultimately a stab in the dark, trepidations rose consuming any energy he had mustered. Upon awakening this morning he rang out, “time to get up, it’s going to be a great day,” and it was. We spent the day enjoying each others company over a bowl of stew and then a much needed motorcycle ride. Wind in our faces pulling our previous unshakable frown into an unmistakable smile that filled our hearts with hope and peace.
