Earth Wear

This world and all its trappings can really make your head spin, that's when I like to go for a walk and take time to reflect on what really matters. During these quiet moments I tend to come across small treasures that I promptly put in my pocket as a small reminder of the journey and later are utilized into my jewelry work. Trinkets most valued are beautifully shaped or fossilized rock, rusted bits of metal, and shells when I am fortunate enough to have a few days at the beach during vacation. I enjoy using natural and semiprecious stones in my work - so all my pieces have an earthy energy to them. Earth ware is actually a name for a type of pottery based on the type of clay that contains allot of grit for stability during the firing process. We all need things to ground us- hold us together if you will- along the same lines my new collection of jewelry may too be named EARTH WEAR. Enjoy.
