Unraveling the thought process of the artist, what a tangled mess, but here I will share the frenzy I call inspiration.

Creative Bliss
It's been along time coming, having my own studio and gallery - but alas, I have found a place where my soul can soar. Annabelle's - Sky View Studio is a little store front next to the historic Plaza Theater in downtown Lamar Missouri. This little home away from home is a great place paint my commissioned portraits and studio works for exhibit. In addition to painting I am currently illustrating a children's book for a local author and continue to create my own line of handcrafted jewelry. This studio gallery is unique because visitors see the creative process unfold as a piece develops. With a large picture window in front of my work area I have to take care that onlookers cant see a portrait intended as a gift. Commissioned pieces as a rule start with the end in mind and progress in a logical fashion, however, to free the creative energy, sometimes is necessary to just be involved in the process and let the piece bloom. The result is usually better than anything that one may have planned. The piece I finished yesterday was created in this fashion and is prominently placed in the window of the studio, the title for the piece will reveal itself soon enough.
